Parliament cigarettes fall into the segment of premium tobacco brands manufactured by Phillip Morris International Tobacco Company. These cigarettes were introduced in 1931. Parliament cigarettes are now considered to be the first brand to produce the commercial filter tip. This was a wad of cotton specially soaked in caustic soda. It had to prevent the smoker from healing in bits of tobacco. Later the filter was developed and now it's recessed. The main purpose of the new Parliament cigarettes filter is to ensure a smoker gets the feeling of freshness when inhaling which makes the smoking process a great pleasure.
Smokers worldwide like Parliament cigarettes very much because of their filter. They say it feels great on their lips and they especially like the recessed section in it - a special gap to keep the end of the cigarette away from teeth to prevent staining.
Parliament cigarettes are quite expensive.
